On Jan 21st, 2017 Mike Parry provided a helpful presentation on “Organizing Your Food Storage” to the Highland Utah Stake.
The attached Excel file provides a good idea of items to store and how much to store.
Also included in the Excel file are columns to identify which bucket they might be in, location of storage, and when was it added. Mike labels each bucket (ex: 100, 101, 102, etc), provides a location, and when it was added. You could also add another column with expiration dates if you would like to help make sure you rotate items effectively.
